Hanging Rock Village Council meeting

Hanging Rock Village Council meets at 8 at City Hall, 400 Main St., Hanging Rock. The public is invited to attend. It moved from its regular meeting day.

Rummage sale

Lucinda Baptist Church will have a rummage sale, starting at 8 a.m., in its fellowship hall. Clothes, food, drink and much more.

Proctorville VFW Breakfast

VFW Post 6878 in Proctorville will have its monthly breakfast on Saturday, at 8–10. Adults are $7 and children 10 and under are $4. Everyone is welcome and to go is available. The menu includes fried or scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, hash browns, pancakes, biscuits and gravy, toast, fried apples, coffee, milk and orange juice. The Auxiliary will also have a bake sale.

Basket day service

First Baptist Church of Burlington will host its annual Basket Day Service at 3 p.m. Reef. Shawn Woods, pastor of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, Huntington, West Virginia, the choir and congregation will be the guests. Grab your bib overalls and handkerchiefs, hats, aprons and blue jeans and join us for an old fashioned service. Everyone is welcome. The church is located at 7475 County Road One, Burlington. The Dalton Family Reunion will be at noon at the Vesuvius Shelter.

The Fairland Board of Education will meet at 6pm at Fairland High School, 812 County Road 411, Proctorville.

South Point BOE meeting

The South Point Board of Education will have a special meeting at 7 at the board’s office. The purpose of the meeting is to consider layoffs, employment of a certified position, and both supplementary and voluntary additional positions.
