YOWICAN declares three-day fast due to lack of rainfall in Taraba

The youth wing of the Taraba State chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, has declared three days of prayer and fasting for the state.

The move was necessitated by the persistent lack of rainfall in the state.

At the time of filing this report, agricultural crops, as observed by DAILY POST, have started wilting.

In a press release made available to journalists early on Sunday, the leadership of the youth CAN be developed called on all Christian youths spread across the state to participate in the spiritual exercise scheduled to begin tomorrow, Monday.

Signed by its state chairman, Evang Ephesian Jesse, the group said the exercise became necessary to right the wrongs that must have been committed by the people.

“Let’s go out and pray for the rain to be released. It is no longer news that our crops are already drying up due to lack of rain. Let’s cry out to God for divine intervention

“Let us pray for churches that are currently facing challenges, let us pray for divine intervention knowing full well that nothing is impossible with God.

“Let us also pray for Governor Agbu Kefas and his family, that the Lord will guide their steps, protect them and grant them good health as they discharge their duties for the glory of the Lord,” the statement read.
