DOHA: The one Ministry of Culture (MoC), represented by music Affairs Centre, has concluded its participation in the summer festivals in Tunisia where Qatari bands presented various shows that reflected the rich Qatari heritage to an elite group of Tunisian, Arab and foreign artists.

The center’s director and head of the Qatari delegation Khaled Al Salem stated that the ministry is focused on participating in events abroad to spread Qatari culture and introduce it to a wider group through performances by Qatari artists.

This would also allow the ministry and its affiliates to be exposed to other cultures that would open doors for future collaboration and the Tunisian festivals provide a good opportunity for such, he added.

The centre’s participation included four cultural performances held between 31 July and 8 August.

The shows featured many artists from Qatar, the most famous traditional Qatari songs, as well as modern songs performed in artistic concerts in several Tunisian cities.

The Tunisian summer festivals, which take place during the months of July and August every year, are estimated to reach around 395 festivals.
