WF woman identified in fatal Jones County wreck

JONES COUNTY, Texas (KAUZ) – The Texas Department of Public Safety has shared information about a fatal wreck in Jones County, as of Saturday morning.

DPS said on State Highway 92, a 2006 Ford truck was traveling east with a 2024 Volkswagen following.

The driver of the Volkswagen, later identified as 21-year-old Madison Stouard, attempted to pass the Ford truck and struck a 2016 Chevrolet truck head-on, according to DPS.

Stouard was pronounced dead after being taken to an area hospital. The drivers of the other two vehicles are being treated for injuries in the wreck.
