Farmers markets start rolling again this weekend – Macomb Daily

While back-to-school shopping lists fill up as Macomb County students get ready to return to class in a couple of weeks, there’s plenty of summer left. A seasonal staple that has grown in recent years are the farmers markets held at locations around the county. One of the most popular is Dodge Park in Sterling Heights. The music, libations and, of course, fruit and vegetables will be offered again Thursday evening at the weekly gathering that runs until the end of September.

EBT and WIC Project FRESH are accepted in the market.

This week will feature Your Generation in Concert, in addition to the dozens of vendors who will be on hand. The group is described as “a high-energy spectacular that celebrates five decades of pop, rock, dance and R&B hits. Simply put, this 8-piece band is the world’s best tribute show.”

The options for the concert food truck are Shelly’s Hot Dogs and Howdy Doodles.

Blake’s will be featured on Patios and Pints while Salsarita’s Mexican Grill will serve food there.

The events are held at Dodge Park, 40620 Utica Rd. In the event of any inclement weather, call the city’s weather hotline at 586-446-2692.
