Raila Odinga’s family and friends threw a lavish party to celebrate Ida Odinga’s birthday.

The ODM leader’s wife turned 74 and she was celebrated in style.

The star-studded event was attended by top politicians and celebrities. Ida’s glamorous party was held Nairobi. Raila wore an emerald green Kaunda suit, White Ida’s classy attire consisted of emerald green and golden brown colors.

The lovebirds danced before cutting a cake, which Ida shared with all her guests. The former prime minister noted that he had to forgo some special meetings just to be there for his wife.

“This is a very special occasion once again to gather here and celebrate Nyargem (Ida). I was supposed to go to some places today but I had to cancel to be here,” Raila said.

The veteran politician also shared a message on X, noting that Ida has truly impacted his life.

“On your birthdays, I reflect deeply on how you have impacted my life. Your strength, resilience and wisdom have been the cornerstone of our family’s journey. Happy birthday, my dear Ida,” he wrote.

Those who attended the party were: CSs Hassan Joho, Opiyo Wandayi, Embakasi East MP Babu, Kisumu Woman Representative Ruth Odinga, Owino, Governors Anne Waigiru, Gladys Wanga, Wavinya Ndeti, Sakaja and Abulswamad Sharriff Nassir just to name a few. Ida’s children Raila Junior and Winnie Odinga were also at the party.
