‘Season is over’ for Man Utd as Ten Hag and three players are told to leave; Arsenal win the PL title

One Mailboxer has already given up on Man Utd this season with Erik ten Hag likely to be sacked before Christmas, while there are emails on Arsenal, Everton, Chelsea, Man City and more.

Ten Hag is the problem in Man Utd
Ten Hag is the problem at Manchester United. His team selection is directly responsible for United’s poor performances and it is completely unfathomable. Serious questions need to be asked: why are Ten Hag signing players and keeping them on the bench, especially De Ligt? Why do you sign a new striker (Zirkzee), keep him on the bench and play Fernandes as a striker? Needless to say, the Fernandes and Mount arrangement didn’t work against Fulham and he still repeated it. Why are Ten Hag putting Rashford and Mount and keeping Garnacho on the bench? why was anthony on the field? Ashworth and co. owe it to United fans to have a very serious dialogue with Ten Hag. The season has only just started and we have already caught up even though the club have spent over £140m on new signings.
Professor (Dr) David Achanfuo Yeboah

Same old United.

Should hold this card:
– Rashford has to fight
– Welbeck must be best friends with Maguire as he lets him score open goals every season.
– If it wasn’t clear, Maguire needs to be fucked.
– The defensive coach, whoever it is, must have their entry card withdrawn and left outside a bus station immediately. I have seen better defense in blind football.

How is it, that match after match we miss 4-5 easy goal chances, and let in the worst goals in the worst appearance in history. Both Brighton goals came only from defensive mistakes. They did nothing remarkable. On the other hand, Rashford, Amad, Zirkzee, Bruno miss chances as players like Trossard, ESR, Iwobi and now even damn Welbeck score. It’s embarrassing. These players need to hang their heads in shame.

Also, Casemiro is done and dusted. Until we get these 3 out of the team we won’t win shit in life.

BUT, let’s remember we have 5 first team members out (Yet AGAIN) with Yoro, De Ligt, Hojlund, Shaw and soon to be team Ugarte out. Once they come back I hope this comical nonsense stops because it’s just embarrassing now. This was an easily winnable game that United once again managed to lose. How many times in 11 years have we seen the same joke repeated over and over again. Same quality of goals conceded, same defensive mistakes. 9 (NINE!) United players in the box marking a total of 0 Brighton players in added time. IF these were my players they wouldn’t see another game until December.

And Mr. ETH, STOP TAKING OFF BRUNO! STOP REMOVING THE ASSEMBLY! TAKE OFF RASHFORD! The buck stops with you, if you can’t coach a decent defense or make good changes you will lose your job in December. I want you to succeed, but stop making stupid decisions in life.

Every season I start hoping for defensive solidarity, that’s literally all I want. No top 4, no titles, I expect NOTHING man. Just fucking LEARN HOW TO DEFEND LIKE YOU’VE SEEN FOOTBALL BEFORE. And even that much is too much to ask.

I’m calling it, United’s season is over. We won’t get top 4, we won’t get a trophy, we won’t get joy if this continues.

Another crappy week to be a United fan,
Aman (I miss De Gea)

Brighton never laid a glove on United and won 2-1. Absolutely terrible stuff from united. Always find a way to lose.

Raya…again…
What can I say? Just had to reiterate my opinion on Raya from last week. He had no right to save it regardless of where Watkins expressed it!

Loved the way of revenge. We took our chances and they didn’t… vice versa until last season.

Ben White I love you for dismantling their captain and Martinez for getting a hand to our other.

Congratulations to Arsenal who won the league.

Wonderful chaos?
City fan here. Some random points…

  • ETH. Wow. It seems to me that he does it quite often, or is lucky enough to keep hanging in there and escape the gaze. Wonderfully chaotic to watch from the outside, but it must drive United fans up the wall. Especially his in-game “tactical” decisions (ahem).
  • Which brings me on to pretty much every post-match interview he’s done. Is there anyone out there, even when he’s won a game, who can listen to them without thinking “What the hell game did HE watch?”
  • “Ola City, this is Barca. Just wondering, but would you like to bring Gundogan back. Oh, and it won’t cost you a penny. Would you? Smashing. We’ll fly over him tomorrow. Un fuerte abrazo!”
  • Genuine question, no trolling. Do Arsenal fans think the current squad has the depth to challenge for the title? And what a save from Reya btw.
  • Sorry Tractor Boys. But it doesn’t happen like this every time. Your boss and your team are too good. Think Everton more likely to go down before Ipswich do.

Everton
That was it another embarrassing performance but not unexpectedly. Dycheball works until it doesn’t and it’s completely off track now. To be completely honest, Everton looked like a League One outfit trying to compete with a team in the upper reaches of the Premier League. I mean the gap in class was there for all to see. We looked beaten before we took the pitch.

If we lose to Bournemouth next week, Dyche has to go, right? Except we don’t have any money to pay him off and there’s no one at the helm to fire him anyway. We have sleepwalked our way to the Championship in recent years only to find good form to stay ahead of three other teams. You can only do it for so long before it catches up with you.

We even spent money this year but unfortunately we didn’t bother to buy any additional wingbacks, so that left us with a crooked Coleman and Patterson along with the blame for an Ashley Young at the back. Speaking of Young, why Dyche insists on him and Michael Keane is why Evertonians are pulling their hair out (if we have any left.) ANYONE but Dyche can see they are not fit for purpose playing in the Premier League. I mean why did we bring O’Brien in just to have him sit on the bench? WHY????

But who would enter this shitshow of a club? What manager would take this “project” on? Other than money, why would you enter a club with such institutional rot embedded in its foundations? Thanks to Bill “I’ll find the right buyer” Kenwright and Farhad “I don’t want Everton to become a museum” Moshiri, we find ourselves in the same situation over and over again. Evertonians have just given up. Where is the joy? I mean apart from beating relegation for the last three years, where is the joy in watching our club? Who wants to see us serve such bad football week in and week out? What an embarrassing advertisement we have been for the “Premier” League in recent years.

I can absolutely promise you that we are closer to relegation than we are in the middle of the table. Part of me says that if we go down, it wouldn’t be a bad thing, and we can “reset.” But the rational part of me says if that happens, you won’t see Everton back in the top flight for a long time. In fact, we would absolutely jump straight to League One after having to sell every player we have worth at fire prices just to pay off the debt. Administration is a real threat to us if we don’t get our ownership issues resolved soon.

I think right now our only hope is that we get players back from injury sooner rather than later before the bottom of the table separates us like Sheffield United did last season. Branthwaite, Garner, Coleman, Patterson, we need players back soon and maybe just maybe we can stave off relegation again for the fourth year in a row.

Please please please…
Just for this last week of the transfer window, can all the clubs all over the world get together and simply not buy any Chelsea players? You can loan their players but on the condition that Chelsea pay 100% of the salary and no buyout clauses.

Let’s see what it does to Chelsea’s model and teach them a lesson…

Chelsea – Brewster’s Millions?
Are we looking at Chelsea’s business model from the wrong perspective?

What if the deal Clearlake did was to buy the club for £1.5bn, and (as a condition of selling Roman Abramovich from the club he loves) they had to commit to spending at least £1.5bn on new players during the next 3 years … and if they don’t achieve that they have to pay the difference in cash?

While this doesn’t account for a total lack of strikers or any semblance of a balanced squad, it does make sense of the insane and seemingly insatiable spending, and in a Private Equity version of Brewster’s Millions, at least they’re trying not to blow up money on non-recoverable assets – hence the focus on younger players with long contracts?
